08/18/09 - Del. Joe Morrissey speaking at VCDL meeting

Abbreviations used in VA-ALERT: http://www.vcdl.org/help/abbr.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I have confirmed that Delegate Joe Morrissey (74th District - parts of Henrico, Prince George, Hopewell, and Richmond City) will be coming to speak at the VCDL meeting in Henrico THIS Thursday. Delegate Morrissey, who hasn't historically seen eye-to-eye with VCDL, did stand up for our 1st Amendment rights in an LTE to the Richmond Times-Dispatch a few weeks ago concerning the Richmond Coliseum banning VCDL's Guns Save Lives stickers. I think this is a good opportunity for both sides to communicate in a constructive way and there should be some time for a little Q & A. We will be covering other breaking issues, including a another issue with the Richmond Coliseum. Afterward, we will go to a local restaurant for continued fellowship.
